WHAT IS RESTYLANE?

The Restylane brand is a series of injectable fillers made of hyaluronic acid with different qualities. The goal of fillers like Restylane is to provide volume and fullness to the skin. Sometimes this means replacing lost volume, like in the face as we age, whereas other times it is to add volume to enhance an aesthetic appeal, like in the lips.

The Restylane line provides fillers with different thicknesses and flexibility to more ideally cater to the areas of the body that are in need of volumization and rejuvenation. Two of the characteristics important to fillers are flexibility (G’ or G prime) and cohesiveness (how well the filler stays together). The higher the G’ value, the greater the filler can resist deformation. This is great for bringing volume to areas that need a lot of structural support. Lower G’ fillers are better for smoothening and softening areas. Think of the difference between Jell-O and pudding. XpresHAn Technology™ is used in the Refyne, Defyne, and Kysse products, creating a more flexible product that has a more natural appearance with movement.

The array of Restylane products have been fine-tuned to best serve the needs of certain areas of the body. Discussed below are the products we offer and their benefits.

Restylane Silk

This is a fine hyaluronic acid filler that is ideal for fine wrinkles around the mouth and uses in the lips. The smoother consistency and smaller particle size make it suitable for subtle lip enhancements, like improving lip symmetry and restoring lip fullness.

Restylane Lyft

As the name implies, this filler provides structural support. This is a thicker filler that is ideal for areas that need volume and sturdy support. It is ideal for revolumization in the upper cheek as well as correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, like the nasolabial folds.

Restylane Refyne

Using XpresHAn Technology™, this is an ideal filler for improvement of mild to moderate laugh lines around the mouth, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. It is a smooth gel that provides natural-looking movement and facial expression.

Restylane Defyne

This is a thicker, yet flexible product. Like Lyft, it can provide structural support, but also affords more flexibility in areas of motion. It can correct mild to moderate wrinkles and folds. Like Restylane Refyne, Defyne is great for areas of facial movement.

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Kysse is the new kid on the block. It is designed for adding lip enhancement and fullness to the lips and smoothing lip lines. It is a flexible filler that provides natural-looking results.
